When it came to decorating, I was debating whether to use fondant or buttercream stars. I decided to go with buttercream, as a tribute to my mom’s signature cake style. ✨ Most of her cakes were covered in buttercream stars. She didn’t just make cakes for me, my brother, or my dad—she baked for our whole family: cousins, aunts, uncles… everyone. 💕
I was inspired by her beautiful work and learned to bake and decorate by watching her. And once I tried it myself, I understood just how much love, patience, and care goes into every swirl of icing. ❤️ 🧁❤️

Today, I made this cake for my son’s birthday—and I’m so humbly proud to carry on a little piece of my mom’s legacy. 🫶
