This is the 1 thing I encourage every single client to do before drywall goes up…

A REALLY intentional framing walkthrough.

Not just a quick “looks good,” but walking the home and imagining your actual day-to-day life in it. Because once drywall goes up, changes become a whole lot more complicated and expensive.

This is the stage where we catch things like:

• not enough outlets where you actually need them
• light switches placed where they don’t “feel” right
• lighting that doesn’t align the way you envisioned
• doorway swings interfering with walkways or furniture
• realizing a room feels different once walls are physically framed
• adding blocking for future drapery, plumbing accessories, floating shelving, or millwork
• prewiring for speakers, cameras, or future upgrades
• extra insulation between noisy rooms

Honestly, this is one of the most important parts of the entire build or renovation process because this is when the home starts feeling REAL… and when you still have the opportunity to thoughtfully refine it before everything gets closed in.

Good design isn’t just about finishes and furniture. It’s about making sure your home functions beautifully for the way you actually live.

This one is extra special.

One of the best blessings of what we do is having the opportunity to design homes for families right here in the same community where we live, grow, and raise our own children. Being trusted to bring someone’s vision to life and become a small part of their home’s story is something we’ll never take for granted.

And these clients… we just adore them. 🤍 Being a part of this chapter with their family and helping create a home that feels truly like them has been such an honor.

This project is such a beautiful testament to the impact thoughtful design changes can make. Nearly a decade after this home was built, it didn’t need to be completely reinvented — it just needed a little extra love.

Through new stone selections, custom architectural details, fresh paint, intentional furniture choices, and carefully layered styling, we were able to breathe new life into the space.

By creating better proportion, balance, and function, this home now feels elevated, comfortable, and perfectly suited for this incredible family and the memories they’ll continue making here.

A home doesn’t always need to start over to feel brand new — sometimes it just needs the right vision. ✨

Is anyone else low-key obsessed with Arabescato Viola marble?

A few fun facts about this incredible stone:

✨ Those stunning burgundy and plum veins aren’t dye or pigment—they’re the result of naturally occurring iron and manganese minerals compressed and crystallized over millions of years. Nature literally painted this stone.

🇮🇹 Arabescato Viola is quarried in Tuscany, Italy, near Carrara—the same region famous for supplying marble to artists and architects for centuries, including Michelangelo. (Fitting that some of the world’s most beautiful stone and wine come from the same place.)

🏛️ While it feels especially popular right now, richly veined Italian marbles have been celebrated throughout Europe for centuries in churches, villas, palazzos, and historic civic buildings.

Personally, I think it’s one of the most beautiful stones ever created.
