Its taken some time to really settle into the new mindset that fatherhood brings. A lot has shifted for me mentally over the last year.

My reason for making sure I’m trying to still develop myself is because I want to help my boys develop themselves. I want to be in shape enough to take them biking. I’ve decided to let go of my stubborn independence and take surfing lessons at 36 because I want to teach my sons. I want to be the example for them that they can continue to invent and reinvent themselves. To show them that they don’t have to be defined by past failures. That failures can be your best teacher.

Photography and Instagram has taken a backseat because I’m so focused on building a life for them where I’m home and present. I’m not sure if I’ll fully return to posting here, but if I do, it’ll look different than what it was before.
