Completion of the Candy Apple Red Cement outdoor dining set. Was a dreary cement grey. What a way to add a huge pop of color.
Odd job friday
While working in Invermere….. we tackled the backstock pantry.
at its finest!!! Moved all like items together and prioritized use. Canning supplies all the way to the top, expired food OUT (some to food bank lots down the toilet and more into the compost) food in one section, paper goods in another and less used pots to the top shelf.
This space is now solely dedicated to food and paper goods storage so we pulled out all of the keepsake bins (to be sorted and consolidated) into another storage area of those similar items.
There is so much room for growth in here. Going to alleviate the kitchen and move some less used items into this space. And because they don’t live in a rural area, more stock than this isn’t required unless planning for the apocalypse.

Well said…. One Louisiana cleaner.
It starts small. A pair of scissors you can't find. An umbrella you know you bought but isn't where it belongs.
You tell yourself you'll look for it tomorrow. Tomorrow becomes next week. Next week becomes next month.
And somewhere in between, you open Amazon.
You add the scissors to your cart. And an umbrella. And maybe a few other things – because shipping is free if you spend a little more.
There's a sense of relief in your nervous system while you fill the cart. A little dopamine hit with each click. You haven't hit your weekly Amazon budget yet, so… why not?
You press "pay now."
And then comes the guilt.
You've spent $600 this month. Maybe more. And the new scissors? You misplaced them already. They're still in the bag they came in, buried somewhere on the kitchen table.
The laundry is piling up. You stop at Walmart and grab two packs of underwear because that feels easier than finding the washing machine. They'll last you ten days. By then, surely you'll have cleared a path to the laundry room.
Surely you'll move that doom pile off the washing machine.
The thing is, you get used to a certain level of mess. Comfortable with it.
You tell yourself you'll start tomorrow. Start fresh on Monday. It's not that bad. Other people have it worse.
You're not lazy. You spend all day working, caring for other people. You stay out a little later than you should. By the time you get home, you only have enough energy to sleep and shower.
Nothing is easy anymore. The kitchen sink is stopped up. The light bulb needs changing. But that's where your pile of empty Amazon boxes has been for the last six months.
Remember that one time you threw something at the trash can? You missed.
You told yourself you'd get it later. Later never came. And now that one missed shot has turned into a room full of trash. It seems absolutely impossible.
Starting over fresh would be a dream come true. If only you could ask for help.
But you can't. Because asking means admitting. And admitting means facing the shame.
So you add more to the cart. You buy more underwear. You let the pile grow.
And life feels hopeless
That's the snowball.
It doesn't roll downhill all at once. It starts with one missed shot. One decision to put it off. One Amazon order. One pile that becomes two. Two becomes ten. Ten becomes a room you can't walk through.
And somewhere along the way, you stop believing you deserve better. There's a small hoard of cleaning supplies, collecting dust. The intent has been there all along.
If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.
I've been there. I've bought things I already owned because I couldn't find the original. I've let piles grow while I told myself I'd deal with it tomorrow. I've felt the guilt and the shame and the hopelessness.
But I also learned that the snowball can roll the other way. One small win. One bag of trash. One decision to ask for help.
It starts small. But it starts.

Two major zones tackled this day!
While Mrs. Client was absolutely crushing it pulling everything out of a massive storage closet so I could sort and post items for sale, I teamed up with Mr. Client in Garage #1 — home to years of tools, storage, and many sentimental items from their late father.
We pulled everything out, sorted, distributed, decluttered, and reorganized it all. Apparently the garage has never been this organized! 🙌
Now everything staying is streamlined, functional, and ready to be packed for their upcoming move. Excited they get to enjoy the space for a couple weeks before the next chapter begins.
Did I remember to take enough photos? Of course not 😂
