In 1934, the Minneapolis workers of local 574 waged a fierce strike against their bosses. It wasn't an easy fight, but through militant tactics, revolutionary leadership, working class solidarity, and well planned tactics, the workers fought the state- and won. Today, we can take these lessons from those who came before us and use them to win our class struggles taking place today.

Today, Calgary communists came out to show solidarity with the people in Iran who were attacked by US and Israeli imperialists in the early hours of February 28, 2026. With over 200 people dead, a lot of them children, we came out to stand irrevocably against United States and Israeli Imperialism.

Neither the Iranian regime nor the US regime are the friends of the Iranian people, and we absolutely denounce the Carney government for supporting Trump's unprovoked attacks in Iran. Freedom for Iran can only be won through a worker revolution, not by imperialist bombs!
