Athlete Inside Performance and CrossFit

It was fun practicing high box jumps today. It’s crazy to think that as kids we used to jump, climb, and play like this all the time, but as adults we don’t practice it nearly as much. Getting back to these movements is a great reminder of how powerful and capable our bodies can be when we challenge them.

June Member of the Month – Emmanuel

Emmanuel has been part of AI for almost a year now and is a regular in the 5:30am crew.

He’s been doing CrossFit for 8 years and says it feels like a never-ending Game 7 of Stanley Cup series. He’s currently chasing his first bar muscle-up and he's least favorite movement is overhead squat.

Outside the gym, he’s a husband of 21 years, a dad of two, and has built a career in plumbing, electrical, and gas trades.
