ROPE GRIPPER MOD

Our company was awarded a maintenance contract on this elevator which had a government deficiency on the rope gripper.

Upon closer inspection, our techs realized that due to the orientation of the original rope gripper installation, the safety screws could not be installed to service the equipment.

iRISE took pictures of the rope gripper and sent it to the manufacturers engineering department to determine if there were any safe methods to work on it? Hollister-Whitney engineering confirmed that the unit was in fact not serviceable.

Our team then executed the perfect Rope Gripper Modernization.

👉 Engineered a new support bracket
👉 Acquired permits of alteration
👉 Performed the mod in a safe and well planned fashion
👉 Load tested the new assembly
👉 Passed our government inspection
👉 Completed the mod on schedule
