You are hosting a party in six days but before that, you would like to do a complete refresh and styling of your great room. You don't want to purchase new furniture pieces but want to fully transform the space so it can be chic and sophisticated with boutique-hotel vibes.

So what do you do?!??

Well, call Inspired Design Studio, of course!!! 🙂

The mirror for the console and ottomans still needed to be ordered. At this time, the flush mount by the entry needed to be replaced still.

But when we worked on this special client's project more than a month ago, Inspired Design Studio focused on warming up the space with shades of brown and bronze. We also chose to work with the existing reflective pieces and abundance of greys and balance them all out. Most of the furniture have heavy visual weight and leaned more towards angular shapes. Introducing more organic and sculptural shapes added interest and strong focal points. Cohesion was also achieved through some repetition in colour and style between the zones.

And yes, the discovery meeting, conceptualization, layout, sourcing, delivery and styling was achieved in just 6 days!

Interior Stylist Nina Santillan of Inspired Design Studio dabbles in visual merchandising!

This is the front of store of a known furniture company in Calgary. The brief is to work with specific furniture pieces and to incorporate the summer theme. So we went coastal! We also worked with the accessories and art pieces that were being sold in the store. Despite the store's more traditional leanings from the shape and style of its furniture, we tried to inject some modernity through the colour palette, clean lines and a few reflective and metallic accents. We also worked to incorporate the green wall and background so it looked intentionally part of the whole vignette. Baskets and plants were used in the background to create texture and give it that homey vibe.

Do you think this whole vignette could pass for an upscale seaside vacation home? Don't underestimate the power of accessories. Though the materials of the furniture do not necessarily connote 'summer,' they have the power to transform any space to create the desired vibe!
