What can be done about "productivity paranoia"? In a recent article by Katie Navarra with SHRM, Inspired HR's CEO shares her thoughts about the recent topic of the belief that productivity declines in a remote environment. In fact, as Navarra points out, a report by Microsoft's Work Trend Index showed that while 87% of all employees feel productive, only 12% of CEOs believe this to be true.

By looking at other measures of productivity, such as employee engagement, leaders of remote teams can shift their focus and lose their fear that not being able to physically see their team working does not necessarily mean they are doing nothing.
