Come one come all to an evening of squares, circles, longways and other dances taught on the spot by ace caller Elliot Dillabough - no experience needed! Featuring live stringband music from the Hip to be Square Collective and a focus on fun and laughter over fancy footwork, this evening promises to be a high energy dance party where two left feet won’t hold anyone back. No partner required, so rustle up a bunch of friends, or just bring yourself and your dancing shoes. Everyone is welcome!

We are thrilled to be joined at this event by Calgary’s favourite western vintage connoisseur Good Gals Vintage - from your local h***y tonk, to the ranch, to the stage, and everywhere in between. Good Gals Vintage provides quality vintage western wear for everyone.

The Irish Cultural Centre has plenty of free parking, a wooden dance floor and a full bar service, including beer, wine, and cocktails - we can’t wait to see you there!

The Lost Prospectors got our start playing in a basement (just like The Beatles!) and we’ll be returning to the scene of that particular crime against music and good taste this Saturday, February 15th - join us at Hickey’s Place Pub (in the basement of The Irish Cultural Society of Calgary in Bowness) for the annual Foothills Bluegrass Music Society Open Mic night! We’ll play a few tunes to kick things off and then cede the spotlight to anyone who wants to get up on stage and play a few - and of course we’re always available to be your bluegrass karaoke backing band should you wish!
