For the rebrand’s typographic direction, we studied the letterforms already embedded in the neighbourhood ✍️

Old signs, storefronts, community spaces and the textures that quietly shape them 🧱

Not to copy the past, but to understand it and build something that can carry it forward.

From what’s already here to what’s next, it all comes together NEXT WEEK!

We started by listening to the community for our rebrand. Now, we’re looking closer at what shaped what’s coming.

Before anything was designed, we paid attention.

🪧 To the signs.
🧱 The textures.
🏪 The storefronts.
📍 The places people remember.
🧡 The little details that already make Inglewood feel like Inglewood.

No inspiration pulled from somewhere else. No chasing trends. Just looking at what’s already here.

Over the next few posts, we’ll share some of the visual ingredients behind the rebrand — typography, illustration and colour.

The new identity started right here in the hood 🪿

Inglewood has never needed to try too hard.

The community asked for something authentic, expressive and unmistakably local for our rebrand. 🏙️

What they described was already here. Bright, buzzing, gritty and quirky. Unapologetically itself, and weird in the best way possible. ✨

So we kept it that way.

You have no idea what’s coming — you’re going to be over the moon. 🌙

No surprise, Inglewood doesn’t need a glow-up

It’s rooted, real, layered and imperfect, and that’s exactly the point.

From historic buildings to ghost signs and just the right amount of grit, you told us not to mess with the good stuff. So we didn’t.

The rebrand isn’t changing the story. It’s making it easier to read.

Coming soon. Historically speaking.

This is just the beginning. Stay close… something new is almost here. ❤️✨

Last year, we asked the Inglewood community to help shape our new visual identity—and hundreds of you showed up with thoughts, stories, and ideas that mattered. 🙌

What’s coming soon wasn’t built in isolation. It was built with you... and we wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤝

We can’t wait to show you what you helped create. 👀
