Finish strong, Calgary! One more day for Chinook Blast!

What an incredible 4 weeks! From media launches thru to the last week of the festival, the fair weather definitely put the chinook in Chinook Blast. The crowds were very supportive of all the amazing installations, music, projections, performances, skating, and midwinter magic. From our stilting vantage point, we saw all kinds of positive community connections being made. Spectacle brings out the wonder in all of us. Let us all continue to hold tight to the transformative power of art and creativity. Thank you to the talented team who reprised both LED performance art projects: GLOWful Wanderings and Trails of Light.

LED Glow for GLOWful Wanderings and Picnic Playground: Teigan Blondin de Boer ()— troubleshooting should be your middle name, but it turns out brilliance is your game. Thanks for being a sounding board and making all the costumes sparkle and shine.

What a great production team for Chinook Blast! Thank you Bird Creatives for all you do to make Calgary a Winter Festival City. Performing in the winter has a unique set of challenges so flexibility, nimbleness, and adaptability are clutch for success in the ever-changing Calgary environment. It has been a super fun ride this year. LET'S GOOOO for Week #3!!
