Orange, yellow, lavender — quite a bright palette, and that's exactly why I said yes to it!

Each flower here started as a ball of gum paste and a cutter, then hours of shaping, veining, and dusting before it ever touched the cake. The bright ones are sometimes trickier than pastels, actually — less room to hide a misplaced petal when the color is this saturated.

We usually get asked for soft, romantic pastels which are so beautiful. I also love a color story that doesn't whisper. We make these in whatever palette a couple brings us. Soft and quiet, or bold like this.
