Congratulations to Harvest Point's very own Chef Garrett 'Rusty' Thienes who took home the gold at Gold Metal Plates Regina! He's off to compete nationally in Kelowna, BC come February 2017.

Sask. chefs competing for Gold Medal Plates titles in Regina, Saskatoon The competition celebrates cuisine, wine and the arts, all in support of Olympic athletes — and gives chefs a chance to compete nationally.

Alberta's Minimum Wage: "In 2015, the province closed the gap [to the minimum wage paid to servers, bartenders and others whose main job is to dispense liquor] from $1 to 50 cents an hour. As of Oct. 1, the gap will be gone completely and liquor servers will receive the same minimum wage as everyone else."
