Our Executive Director, Katie Smith, spoke to members of the Senate of Canada's Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources Committee yesterday urging amendments to Bill C-69. She spoke alongside Rick Peterson, Founder and Brad Schell, Honourary Chair from Suits and Boots and Mick Dilger, CEO of Pembina Pipeline Corporation.

"We want to work for and contribute to an energy industry that has a modern environmental and regulatory system that: protects the environment and the rights and dignity of Indigenous peoples; creates new jobs and economic opportunities for Canadians; and makes a positive impact not only on Canadian society, but on the rest of the world. However, the current form of this Bill does not achieve these intentions. [...] Let’s work together to create the modern environmental and regulatory system we need to advance Canada’s energy industry into the future"
