Throughout the year, we partner with child-centered local organizations to bring meaningful, hands-on experiences into the classroom. As part of our enrichment programming, music plays an important role in supporting creativity, coordination, and self-expression. We are proud to spotlight our partnership with the incomparable Ms. Sonia from @fortemusicstudiocalgary, who leads engaging bi-weekly music sessions. ATTENTION PARENTS! MLCA Preschool is having our open house for the 2025/2026 school year on January 20 from 5:30-7:30 at the preschool 1638 30 ave sw! Please join us to meet the teachers, check out our beautiful space and learn more about our preschool programs! Registration will open February 3, at 9am! Can’t wait to see you there!

Our Story

We are a community based preschool offering a cooperative and caring environment where children 3 to 4 years old come together to learn and explore through age appropriate play, activities, and materials.

Set in the heart of the vibrant Marda Loop, our newly renovated, bright and cheerful preschool is positioned opposite the community centre, playground, ice-rink, library, fire hall, and community gardens.

THE PROGRAM

MLCA Preschool provides a wonderful opportunity for children to practice the skills needed for growing independence.

The 3-year-old program is a gentle introduction to school with a focus on cooperation, independence, and exploration through play. In the 4-year-old program, there is increasing emphasis on kindergarten readiness.
