A great find, the grapes are grown in a small parcel of the legendary Oakville estate near the banks of the Napa River. Because nearly the entire tiny production is snapped up by the private mailing list, seeing a bottle at auction is a genuine event.

The grapes were pressed directly to French oak (5% new) and aged on their gross lees, a technique that lends the wine a stunning, rich texture without sacrificing its vibrant energy. It balances a crisp, crystalline acidity with a deeply layered mouthfeel. On the nose, you’ll find an elegant mix of white peach, crushed flint, and citrus blossoms, leading into a finish that lingers.
