On May 15, a serious incident inside Shelter resulted in several members of our team being assaulted while protecting guests and attempting to de-escalate the situation.

The past few days have been difficult, but also deeply reassuring in seeing the amount of support shown toward our staff, especially Chef Rich McLaren during his recovery.

We’re proud of our team, grateful to the guests who stepped in to help, and thankful to Calgary Police for their quick response.
