True North Mortgage "No Brainer" Spot ("Couch") Was nominated for an AMPIA award for Best Commercial.

Four days before filming the commercial series for True North Mortgage, we got pulled in March 2020 due to Covid. When safe set procedures were established, we were able to return in September. The result? Three comedy ads that featured a talking, moving, brain operated by puppeteer Leo Wieser. Co-produced with Jump Studios for agency Fulcrum.

Commotion has moved from Calgary to beautiful Salt Spring Island, BC. I will be available in my office by the sea by phone, email, or Zoom for all your writing, branding, and production needs. I can travel as required, of course, but most consulting can be done remotely.

To all my colleagues and the many of us who in 2019 will be reinventing ourselves, entering new chapters, starting a new business or growing existing ones by new means and approaches, changing industries, “up-skilling,” ourselves, pivoting, prioritizing, rediscovering passions, pinpointing new opportunities. Risking more. The quote says “a new version of yourself” – but could simply be re-committing to a “truer version of yourself” that’s been there all along. It’s time! Live in Harmony Harmony is a new master-planned lake community eight minutes west of Calgary currently being developed around a vibrant 35-acre Village Centre in a quiet country setting.

I've been a part of the leadership to get Harmony to the local and national BILD or CHBA Awards in many categories. But I have to say, one of my great joys has been interviewing and writing stories about the Harmony Residents themselves.
