Jellyfish Coffee

I had a very long post drafted for this moment. And have been thinking about this for a few years.

But I’ll keep it short and honest.

I’m taking a step away from coffee. I completely devoted myself to this industry for 14 years. I did as well as I ever could and achieved some great results, met some amazing people and tasted a lot of tasty coffee. Jellyfish was and is my ideal cafe goal, and to any of you who visited even once; thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I tried to win and be the best at something, and with some of the most skilled competitors in the world around me, it was difficult but still worth the battle. I’m proud of how close I came and how well I did. Coffee slowly became more stress than it was fun for me, and that’s never what I wanted to feel. There are so many people to thank for inspiring, teaching, pushing and encouraging me to keep going and improving, thank you to you all. I never got to have a “last day in the cafe” and do one last pour over, or latte art with anyone and that did and still does feel unfair sometimes, but to all of you who ever came in to see me and were excited about coffee, know you made my day each time.

I’m taking this chapter of my life to focus on some new things that matter a lot to me. I have earned my Real Estate License and will be working diligently towards helping the good people in Calgary and abroad finding their new home. I love to work hard and be nice to people so this could be an amazing opportunity to do both.
