Today we had the honour of assisting with a very special milestone — a young man’s Bar Mitzvah.

A Bar Mitzvah is an important Jewish coming-of-age celebration, marking the transition into adulthood and the responsibility of faith and community. It’s a day filled with meaning, tradition, family, and celebration.

Our client wanted the event to feel simple and personal without being over the top, while incorporating a subtle touch of hockey into the décor to reflect the guest of honour’s personality and passions.

Every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed by our incredible Jennifer Hadley, our resident Jewish event expert, who brought warmth, authenticity, and flawless ex*****on to this beautiful day.

People think event planning is glamorous.

Like I spend my days sipping champagne, picking linen colors, and saying things like “let’s add more peonies.”

In reality, my job is:
* carrying 14 bags at once like a stressed-out pack mule

*answering “quick questions” at 11:47 PM

*pretending I’m calm while someone tells me the DJ is stuck in traffic

*eating one cold chicken finger over a trash can at 9 PM

*becoming emotionally attached to extension cords and zip ties

*fixing seating charts that somehow turn into international diplomacy negotiations

*smiling politely while internally screaming because someone moved the place cards “to help”

Event planners are basically:
20% planner
40% therapist
30% crisis manager
10% caffeine and survival instinct

And no, we do not “just decorate.”
We coordinate timelines, vendors, weather meltdowns, family drama, missing cakes, broken microphones, and at least one person who suddenly “doesn’t like where they’re sitting.”

But somehow… when the room is full, the music starts or the game starrts everyone is happy, and the event finally comes together — it’s worth every chaotic second.

Still though… if anyone asks me one more time where the bathrooms are while standing directly beside the sign, I may retire.

It's been a crazy week and finally able to post a bit about the event.

LP Events have been so excited to be the chosen event planning company for the . This past weekend we assisted in producing the Women's 7s National Championships. This was such a fast paced production that needed a massive team to produce. From broadcasting, field operations, event operations it was crazy.

We are happy to end our time in Indianapolis with the Men's 15s National Championships. Can't wait to show the pictures for this part of the event.
