We are thrilled to be sharing the beautiful magic of with those of you attending this Saturday’s gathering.
Bella Ríos is a Canadian born singer-songwriter, musician and multifaceted artist and the founder of the musical collective and cultural heritage project entitled the Katibala Music Project. Hailing from a musical family with an influential presence in the Nueva Trova and Cuban Jazz movements of Cuba, from a young age she was exposed to the richness of Cuban and Afro-Cuban music along with some of the finest musicians from her father’s native country. Ríos draws influence from her diverse cultural heritage and explores the sounds that filled her childhood in a musical repertoire consisting of more than six languages including Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, Judeo-Spanish and Moroccan Gnawa (T’gnawit).
