A recent survey by Software Advice found that 1 in 3 healthcare organizations have experienced data breach in form or the other in the last three years. It also reported that almost 55% of medical practices allow access to more data than employees need to do their job.

Understanding privacy principles is a critical foundational step to maintaining compliance and preventing breaches.

Everyone should only have access to the minimum amount of patient data to do their job.

Proper data access hygiene is a good way to manage privacy risks. Less access is more protection.
