Our foundational objective is to nurture the needs of our membership in a way that amplifies their innovation. The fruits of this innovation will then be made to serve Alberta and Albertans.
The Meta Space Collaborative Environment is focused on developing disruptive technologies and fostering scientific, economic, and cultural innovation through attainable resources, programming, and mentoring, all within a collaborative space.
We aim to build a strong and diverse community of creative innovators who support not only the growth of that community but also of Alberta’s economy. The Meta Space will focus on implementing large scale projects, each with the potential to significantly impact Calgary and Alberta as a whole.
EDUCATION
How do we place ourselves on the cutting edge of today’s and tomorrow’s technology industries?
Due to the diverse growth of the energy sector and automation as a whole, we have a growing need for tech-educated, skilled personal here in Alberta. Without a consistent pipeline of these individuals in place, we are losing opportunities to place Albertans in the very high-tech roles many organizations are endeavouring to create.
With this in mind, preparing our province’s labour force for the highly automated future means educating and training Albertans so they can thrive within knowledge based industries. Tomorrow’s most desirable careers will expect more of Alberta’s labour force, and we plan to prepare them for this.
This is why education is one of MSCE’s foundations.
Our programming and that of our members will focus on developing transferrable skills that directly help the labour force from industries, such as the energy sector, adapt to the rapid-innovation that has disrupted the status quo.
From programming to sustainable energies like solar, our educational foundation will be a focus that adapts as quickly as disruptive industries can innovate without the need for large institutions or government subsidy.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership to MSCE is attained through an application process that ensures each member's focus, skills, and needs are matched with the community’s resources and overall objectives. This allows us the opportunity to determine the type of support they may need and match them with appropriate members, resources, and mentors to help ensure the success of their venture/project.
