Why do strong recreation and sport organizations see up to a 95% staff return rate?

They invest in quality programming.
They train their people well.
They build cultures where staff and participants thrive.
That is exactly what Healthy Play™ is designed to do.

We have used the Healthy Play™ philosophy in our own programs for decades and have trained hundreds of staff, volunteers, and educators - 98% of those trained in Healthy Play™ report that it helped them build stronger, more supportive, and more engaging programs and lessons.

Healthy Play™ Training helps your staff lead programs that feel calmer, safer, and more engaging - from day one of your program through the final week!

This fall, we're gathering in person in Red Deer at Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP). Join us on Tuesday, November 4th from 10:00am to 2:00pm for learning and sharing about a new para sport innovation project (happening right at RDP!) and further discussion about Indigenous partnerships and programming. Lunch will be provided. Please feel free to invite friends, colleagues, and others who are interested in connecting about sport, physical activity, and recreation for Albertans experiencing disability!

We also wanted to remind you that the call for presenters to share their knowledge and expertise at our Alberta Adapted Physical Activity Summit in May 2026 is open! Our theme for 2026 is "Advocacy, Access, Action: Moving Forward Together"- with the goal to energize action for adapted physical activity across communities in Alberta through connection and collaboration. The AAPA Summit invites researchers, professionals, students, and community members to join us in learning and action.
