Meet Winston! 🐾

If you’re looking for a best friend who can keep up on adventures but is just as happy relaxing by your side, Winston might be your perfect match!

Winston is a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely loves people. He’ll greet anyone willing to say hello with full-body wiggles and a happy tail. He enjoys sniff-filled walks, settling down for some quiet time, and chewing on his favorite toys. While he’s generally an easygoing guy, loud cars and motorcycles can make him a little uneasy.

Winston would thrive in a home that offers a balance of activity and relaxation. He’s always up for a nice long walk, but he’s equally content spending the day snoozing nearby while keeping an eye on his humans. One of his cutest habits is wanting to supervise whatever you’re doing—he loves simply being part of the family.

He’s incredibly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. Winston already knows that outside is the place to potty, has started developing a nice recall on a long line, and is making great progress with loose-leash walking. He can get excited when he spots another dog, but he’s learning quickly and improving every day. He’s also wonderfully respectful around mealtimes and knows to stay out of the kitchen while food is being prepared.

Winston has been a quiet houseguest. He rarely barks, usually only if he hears an unfamiliar or spooky noise. He’s house-trained, rides well in the car, and is continuing to build confidence with his crate. At bedtime he may whine for about 10 minutes before settling down for a nap.

As for other animals, Winston hasn’t been tested with cats. While he also hasn’t had formal introductions with other dogs, he consistently shows friendly, positive interest when he sees them. He hasn’t been tested with young children either, but given his affectionate, gentle nature, we believe he’d likely do very well with respectful kids.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a goofy personality, a heart of gold, and plenty of wiggles to share, Winston is ready to meet his forever family.

☀️ Summer Safety Reminders

Summertime adventures are the best, but they come with summertime responsibilities.

Keep your pup safe by remembering to:
💧 Bring plenty of water
🌳 Seek shade during breaks
🔥 Avoid walking on hot pavement (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws)
🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes (it gets dangerously hot in there quickly!)
🌅 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler
🛟Don’t assume your pup can swim; start in very shallow water and stay within arms reach; some dogs aren’t built to float

Heatstroke can happen quickly and is a medical emergency.

Have a safe and happy summer! ☀️🐶💦

🎼 Meet Mozart 🎼

If you're looking for a dog who wants to be your shadow, your adventure buddy, and your personal cuddle expert, Mozart might just be your guy.

Around here, we lovingly refer to Mozart as our "single brain cell". Whether he actually has just one or he's simply saving the rest for emergencies remains a mystery.

What he does have is an unlimited supply of love. Mozart wants to be involved in absolutely everything you're doing. Cooking? He's supervising. Watching TV? He's your cuddle buddy. Folding laundry? He's offering moral support (and maybe stealing a sock).

This sweet boy has never met a stranger. He's incredibly friendly, loves everyone he meets, and is happiest when he's included in whatever you're doing.

He's wonderful with the other dogs in his foster home and others he meets along the way, politely ignores the cats, and absolutely adores kids. If there are little humans around, you'll usually find Mozart hanging out with them, hoping to join in the fun.

Mozart is well on his way learning his leash manners, rides beautifully in the car, and would make an excellent hiking, camping, or road trip companion. He's always up for whatever adventure comes next!

Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, Mozart is still learning a few things. He's making great progress with his potty training and is learning that his people always come back. If left alone, he may bark while trying to find you, but he's gaining confidence every day and continues to improve with consistency and patience.

If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a heart of gold, a goofy personality, and endless love to give, Mozart can't wait to meet you and is ready to dedicate his one very hard-working brain cell entirely to loving you.
