The other night I took it to far. I was at a full moon party and had a little too much of this, and a little too much of that on an empty stomach and completely lost my centre. Of course, I know better than this. I know how to have a good time, dabble, dance and wake up feeling amazing about the wonderful evening I enjoyed with my friends the night before. Instead I woke up feeling raw and spent an hour working on my love mantras and breathing meditations to feel like a worthy human again. ⁠⠀

Once I returned to my state of self love I took a look at the why to my what? This is the week I am fully launching this brand, putting myself out there and being vulnerable as f**k. Don’t get me wrong, I am super excited and also full of fear and self doubt. I was in full repression mode of the latter two emotions and my self destructive tendencies had an opening to kick into full gear. Check, got it... I still do that. Thanks universe. ⁠⠀

It really wasn’t that bad, I just wasn’t super pleased with my condition the other night. However, it did bring to light that I was doing that thing again. Repressing my undesirable thoughts and “blowing off steam” instead of finding a healthy way to satiate my tension. Personal evolution is a slow process. Yes, last night I fell into an old pattern, but the real take away is what I did with the lesson I was being given. I took that little bit of self inflicted pain and transformed into something beautiful. I looked at myself with love and asked myself what I needed. The answer was so clear. Right now, as I am in the midst of doing something that truly scares me I need to stay close with my spirit and my breath, do my daily practices, and express my self doubt to those who love me so they can clarify the opposite. I need to focus on my self love rather placing my self worth on the success or speculation this undertaking will bring me. I just lost myself there for a little while. Two steps forward, one step back. The choice is mine - evolve or repeat. ⁠⠀
