It’s the last day of the Calgary Stampede and we’re looking back at U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra’s great visit earlier this week!
From flipping pancakes with Danielle Smith to a behind-the-scenes look at the Stampede’s Chuckwagons, rodeo, and Agricultural Building, the Ambassador learned about Alberta’s culture and heritage while experiencing some of its legendary western hospitality.

As we reflect on all that the United States has accomplished in 250 years, its rise as a global energy leader is a highlight—and Canada has been an important partner in that success.
Last night we celebrated that long-standing energy partnership, and the Consulate’s 22nd year at Global Energy Show Canada, with our partners at the Canada-Texas Chamber of Commerce.
We want to acknowledge the American and Canadian companies, workers, and communities who drive North American energy leadership forward. The best ideas in energy emerge when we have opportunities to build together.

The U.S. Consulate General Calgary will be closed Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. The Consulate will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, May 26.
