DECEMBER MARKET STATS ARE OUT!
After seeing record sales and prices during the pandemic, Metro Vancouver’s housing market experienced a year of caution in 2022 due to rising borrowing costs fueled by the Bank of Canada’s ongoing battle with inflation.
Here’s a little breakdown:
- Month sales were down 51.8% from the 10-year average for the month.
- There were 38% fewer homes listed than the previous year.
- The benchmark price for a home in Metro Vancouver was $1,114,300
