There’s a reason we chose the name Heliopolis 🏛️

Heliopolis is the Greek name for an ancient Egyptian city — the City of the Sun. It was the philosophy and art hub of the ancient world — where the greatest minds gathered to think, debate and create. Where Bennu, the original Phoenix, soared above the city and ignited the first flame of life.
Every five hundred years, the Phoenix returns — consumed, then reborn more powerful and vibrant.

That’s the spirit we brought to Calgary.
We didn’t open another cocktail bar. We built a space rooted in culture, community, and genuine connection — with live music sets every week, meaningful events, and hospitality that treats every guest like the room was made for them.
The name means something. Everything here does.
