The Slow Creative
Sharing my journey of slowing down, simplifying my home and life, and reconnecting with creativity, joy, and what truly matters.

At twenty-three, I dreamed of a six-figure salary, six weeks vacation, and an office with a view.
By thirty-three, I had it but felt deeply out of sync, and my anxiety was at its highest.
Turns out, motherhood and quietly building a creative business were a much better fit.
As a child, I’d drive by “rich people’s houses” and long to live in a big, beautiful house one day. I did that, too.
Turns out, I prefer something smaller, cosier, and easier to care for.
In my teens, I dreamed of a nomadic life, living abroad and travelling to exotic places.
Turns out, I’m a homebody who loves retreating to my own little nest.
The older I get, the more I realise:
Some dreams were never truly mine. Just ideas I picked up about what a “successful life” should look like.
As I approach my 47th birthday, I continue to outgrow the dreams I once chased.
I don't see it as failure... just becoming more aligned with who I truly am.
What dreams have you outgrown?
