Quick update:

Alhumdulillah, we were able to raise the required Sadaqa and Fitr through 70 food hampers to the local families today. Each hamper cost came out to be $100.58 and as you can see Alhumdulillah it was a big hamper!

Thank you to Super Asia Foods and Sherbon for donating cookies and juice for the hamper. Thank you to Kevin and Amanda's No Frills (temple location) for giving us an amazing deal on this hamper. They have been great supporters for EG and this hamper program for many many years. Last but least thank you to Islamic Relief Canada for coming down to help with the hampers today as well.
Thank you to all the donors and volunteers for making today a great success. Please make the best of the remainder of Ramadan.

Eid ul Fitr is around the corner and that means it is time to celebrate. But just before we do that, let's take some time to think about where you would like to pay Zakat ul Fitr. Wherever you decide to send it, ask the question about how it will be distributed and to whom/when etc.

Zakat ul Fitr is being determined to be $15 by local organizations in Calgary and is mandatory for each member of the household to pay before they pray Eid Salah.
