The public hearing on repealing blanket rezoning ended today, and I had the opportunity to speak last week in support of a full repeal, as this is a priority I heard from many residents and supporters in Ward 4. It is a complicated issue, as there are many differing opinions on zoning changes, affordability, and possible amendments to the zoning bylaw, as heard from the many public speakers and submissions during the hearing.
During the campaign, I heard from many that they support increasing density and housing supply, but in areas that make sense, like along transit routes, major roads and commercial areas. Communities want input through local area planning processes, and not through blanket approaches that don’t take into account community voices, infrastructure concerns, and having multiplexes mid block. It was my duty and privilege to speak and give voice to the over 10,000 voters that supported me because they wanted respectful and sensible land use planning in Ward 4.

Dear friends, volunteers, and supporters,
The election results are in, and although it was not the result that we wanted, I am very thankful for each of you and the 10,443 voters who believed in me and our campaign. Thank you for your trust, your time, and your donations. Thank you for opening your door to me, for every conversation, and for participating in the democratic process to build a better community and city.
Thank you especially to all the volunteers who walked countless steps with me, delivered thousands of flyers, set up hundreds of signs, and worked behind the scenes to make this campaign happen. I appreciate you immensely.
I will take some time to spend with family, rest and reflect on this campaign. Moving forward, I remain committed to serving our city in new ways and seeking the good of the neighborhood.
Congratulations to .ca and his team for a successful campaign.
I wish the new Mayor and Council the best, and hope that they will listen to community voices and move Calgary forward for the better.
Sincerely,
Jeremy
Happy Election Day everyone! It’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know so many residents in Ward 4 at the doors! I have heard from so many of you about the change you want to see in our ward and our city. Change that means fiscal responsibility, repealing blanket rezoning, prioritizing public safety and real community engagement.
Today, I’m humbly asking for your vote to represent you as your Ward 4 city councillor.

Tomorrow is the day Calgarians decide what kind of leadership they want at City Hall. Will it be more of the same status quo and big money, third party funded Councillors, or will it be representatives that listen to community voices?
I am committed to taking action on the issues that Ward 4 residents care about.
On October 20th, I’m humbly asking for your vote to represent you.
Are you ready to choose CHANGE at City Hall?
Let’s build a stronger Calgary together, one that prioritizes fiscal responsibility, enhances public safety, and puts thoughtful, community-led planning first.
As the only Ward 4 candidate with both real-world public policy experience and local community service, I’m running to bring real, meaningful change that reflects Ward 4 values. While others are backed by the same big money, third-party advertisers behind the status quo, I’m focused on putting community voices first.
If you’re ready for a new direction, I’d be honoured to earn your vote on October 20th.

Glad to stand with Calgarians that want thoughtful growth in this city. Zoning changes need to be targeted, account for infrastructure needs and have real community engagement. That is why I am committed to repealing blanket rezoning. Thank you for your support

Thanks to all who came out to the Brentwood Community Association last night for the third Candidates forum. Many residents want change at City Hall and want to see a representative that champions fiscal responsibility, public safety, and repealing blanket rezoning.
Chatted with a resident that attended about how frustrated she was at the mid block multiplex development recently approved on her street.
Also attended meetings at the and in Rosemont recently about restricted covenants. Residents should not be so filled with anxiety and anger about zoning that they need to put restricted covenants on their property. This is why the team are committed to fully repealing blanket rezoning.
