Last week, E3 Lithium attended the Swiss Mining Conference in Zurich, where the team held over 30 meetings in a packed schedule.
 
This week, we continued the momentum at ROTH’s conference in Los Angeles and CERAWeek in Houston.
 
At CERAWeek, the Alberta Government confirmed that the province holds the world’s third-largest lithium resource - further strengthening Canada’s position in securing a domestic battery supply chain.
 
E3 Lithium is proud to be leading the way by extracting lithium and converting it to battery-grade material - all in-house.

– E3 Lithium has received approval of its required permits from the Energy Regulator to advance Phase 2 of its Clearwater Project Demonstration Facility.

The permits approved include:
◾ Directive 065: Approval for a mineral scheme, including subsurface injection of produced fluids
◾ Directive 056: Approval for mineral wells, including technical and licensing requirements
◾ Directive 056: Approval for mineral facility, including technical and licensing requirements

– E3 Lithium announces that commissioning of Phase 1 of the Demonstration Facility is underway and on schedule.

Key highlights include:
◾ Commissioning of Phase 1 has begun with brine introduced into the DLE system
◾ High-quality lithium chloride production will follow once purification units are online
◾ Brine on site will enable the operation of Phase 1 into early Q4, 2025
◾ Findings from Phase 1 will prepare the Facility for Phase 2 later this fall

We support the simultaneous development of these world-leading technologies and are committed to a regulatory system that promotes the sharing and development of the subsurface.

I am very pleased to see the progress being made by Alberta’s world-leading lithium and CCUS developers as they work in our deep saline aquifers to produce an important new resource and to reduce the province’s carbon emissions.

Our government is committed to fostering a predictable and robust policy framework and a regulatory regime that supports both brine-hosted mineral development and CCUS. We are striving to design rules that further attract investment needed to scale these critical new industries and position Alberta as a preferred producer and supplier of lithium and the top jurisdiction for carbon sequestration and enhanced oil recovery with CO2.
