Dear reader,
Today I am introducing the first of four energy flows of the body, Prana

Energy flows of the body:
Prana: universal spirit; pure energy; cosmic energy;breathing
Nadi: energy channel; a hollow straw or tube
Vayu: wind; air; rich with prana
Chakra: ring; circle; disc; vibrating energy center; lotus

Prana is the seed of the practice.
It is the spiritual fuel.
The body and mind start to become purified through the four limbs of Ashtanga Yoga (Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama), which build the foundation for a deeper state of consciousness to awaken (Pratyahara, Dharana and Dhyana). As a result of this, the body’s energy flows are strengthened and balanced, which allows for Prana to move freely through the energy channels (nadis) and the energy centres (chakras) and it’s most fundamental form.
The pure spirit travelling through the nadis makes it possible for the eighth and final limb (Samadhi) to manifest.

Regulate the prana in your body, your vessel.
-The body is asking for the Prana to be regulated, for the energy flowing through the nadis to be regulated.

The purpose of Yoga Asana is to regulate the energy, the vital energy/ Prana through ALL the channels (through all the nadis), and in time clear all congestion & debris from all the channels/ nadis
This is one of the many reasons why we practice Yoga.
Be mindful of *why* You practice 🪷

Stay tuned as I share more about the practice of Yoga, the Philosophy and concepts, what I’ve experienced over my 20 years of practice and what it means to me, if you like!😌🥰
