I just happened to pass through her village, and I was able to drive her and her mother at night on a terrible dirt road to a larger town to get medical treatment. But if I hadn’t shown up, there was no way that the poor mother of four-year-old Amalia was going to be able to help her; Amalia had already spent several days with fever, rasping cough, difficulty breathing, pain throughout her body, weakness. Such is the reality of the indigenous peoples in the mountains of Guerrero, Mexico. Mission Mexico will continue to do what it can, but not all battles are won. 🙏🏽❤️🇲🇽🇨🇦

This family of three thanks Mission Mexico for providing them with a small stove and a propane tank and connections; now they don’t have to cook on an open fire on their dirt floor, a very dangerous practice in their humble home. 🙏🏽❤️🇲🇽🇨🇦
