Cochrane’s SLS centre is doing a Swim Abilities Training on Saturday May 11th and Sunday May 12, 2024 and they have reached out to me to ask if there are any families that are interested in coming to the facility on the morning of May 12, 2024 between 9am -12pm for the practical component of their training. You would not have to come for the whole 9am-12pm timeframe but you could let Izzy Jones ([email protected]) know what time within that time frame would work for you. They are hoping that a few families may be interested in coming to allow their instructors to get some hands on training!

SwimAbilities® is a learn to swim program geared for children and young adults with special needs, who need additional support to develop fundamental physical literacy skills and safety routines for aquatic activities. SwimAbilities® assists children and their parents in increasing safety, independence, and enjoyment in and around the water. There is no cost to you and you would have free entry into the facility. This would take place in their Therapy pool.
