Some pictures from our Koocanusa backroading adventures at the end of March this year. Slowly getting around to editing things from that trip. So much footage to go through. It is taking a bit longer as I am also making my first YouTube Episode for my channel that will be starting next year.

The need to feed your curiosity is strong. Let's scratch that itch and see what is in the hole.
Something so peaceful about a fresh snow fall.

Wiaprous Day 3 and 4
We knew the storm was coming. So we hunkered down. I was worried about my daughter's tent not being strong enough to withstand the heavy, wet snow. So we made room in our tent for her and her partner. It was definitely cozy in there. We woke up in the middle of the night with tons of snow on our tent that required immediate removal as the roof was starting to sag from the weight of the snow. This could cause the frame to collapse if not taken care of. After the quick maintenance we headed back to bed.
The morning was like waking up in a different season. It was a full on winter wonderland. seeing the state of our campsite we knew there would be minimal exploring. Trekking through a foot deep of snow is not the easiest for long periods of time. With our fire pit buried (can you find it in the photosπ€£) we opted for a quick walk to the ridge to see how other tenters were doing. With everyone surviving and thriving we headed back to camp. Once the snow stopped we dug out our fire pit and spent the evening staying warm and relaxing by the fire. Such a peaceful night. There is something that is so calming and comforting after a big snowfall.
The next day we wandered down to the ridge again for a short walk. I wanted to see the valley covered in snow now that the storm had past. What a different 24 hrs can make in the mountains/foothills. This is why it is always important to be prepared for all types of weather.
Another amazing May Long in the books. Can't wait for next year. Always an adventure.π
