It usually means your charging system isn’t working properly—not just the battery itself.

Most of the time, the issue is:
🔋 Failing alternator (it’s not charging the battery while the engine runs)
🔌 Loose or corroded battery cables
🔧 Worn or broken serpentine belt (the belt that powers the alternator)
⚡ Electrical system fault

If the battery light comes on while driving, it’s something to check as soon as possible to avoid getting stranded.
