Thank you to everyone who joined us today for The Defence Shift: An Opportunity for Ontario Manufacturers.

A special thank you to our partners, the Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce and Senator Sandra Pupatello, for their collaboration and support in bringing this important event to life.

We are also incredibly grateful to our sponsors—Invest WindsorEssex, Export Development Canada - Exportation et développement Canada, BDC, Triumph Tool Ltd., Tunkers North America, Tungaloy-NTK America, Inc., Pigeon Bay Strategies, and Workforce WindsorEssex—for helping make this event possible.

Thank you to the Department of National Defence (DND), Defence Investment Agency (DIA), Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Boeing Canada, Bombardier Defense, CAE, General Dynamics Land Systems, and GM Defense Canada for sharing valuable insights into Canada's defence sector and engaging directly with our manufacturing community. We hope attendees found the B2B meetings informative and beneficial as they explored opportunities to become part of the defence supply chain.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Honourable David McGuinty, Minister of National Defence, for delivering a thoughtful keynote address and highlighting the critical role that Canadian manufacturers play in strengthening our nation's defence capabilities.

The precision metalworking sector—including machine, tool, die, mould, and automation companies—has the expertise, capacity, and innovation needed to support Canada's growing defence industry. Events like this help build the connections that will drive future opportunities and strengthen domestic supply chains.

Thank you to everyone who participated. Together, we are creating new pathways for Canadian manufacturing to contribute to the future of defence.
