We are back from a 3 month social media hiatus - typical winter thing for us, if you've been around, and it went by too fast.

We've got back to ski-mountaineering, been 3 years since the accident at work now, and we can really tell, yet happy to still be on this recovery train.

Extremely grateful for a bunch of new mountain partners in my life (as a lot of my bros live far away now and are settling down with age). They actually take photos, plus are rad, skilled, and full of stoke.

A 12 Track LP that came from the heart, written while I was undoing homelessness that occurred during a workplace accident, a head and spine injury changing my life, sending me into deep contemplations about growing up and the meaning of my life.

A raw and introspective allbum that explores the complexities of human existence. Through themes of mortality, spirituality, and personal growth, the album navigates the struggles of finding balance and meaning in a chaotic world.

From the haunting reflections of "Everest", a song about the dead homies passing due to fent ODs, to the upbeat and philosophical musings of "Eggs and Rice", a song about keeping motivation while struggling in an RV, Painfully is a sonic journey that confronts the pain and uncertainty of life, ultimately seeking hope and transcendence.

This one really is a journey of soundscapes. From harsh truths and realizations, through uplifting and inspiring motivations, and then back into realizations, yet this time with love and harmony, layden with acoustic guitar departing from the harsh rap on samples.

I really went through a lot while writing this, opened to a more vulnerable and personal state than ever before, and it is the most meaningful album to me, that I feel I have written (released or not).

It's a mood with a dichotomy. Picked "Love You" as the promo song on this post. Which is the last track before the bonus. It is not rap. Maybe not the best choice to promote, when "Slay That" has so much more hype, yet I do feel it is apt and fitting for the LP and time of year.

Climbed Uto Peak yesterday, with a super green partner.

We pitched everything out basically,
and it took us 13 hours to summit from the car.

Due to this, and him never rappelling either, it took an hour to do a single rap, and we did 2 raps on the way off the mountain.

At sunset on the descent ridge, I called it, we slept on a false summit between Uto and Eagle, then continued our downclimbing this morning at 1st light before sunrise. We had no water, little food left, and no sleeping gear. We put all our layers on and got out the emergency blankets, then watched the stars. I slept a bit good, Will did not. He'd never done an alpine start before, so is super bagged today.
