in Carleton Place doesn’t just have a huge variety of items that all looked a-maze-omg but also poutines that are GLUTEN-FREE and can be made DAIRY-FREE with vegan cheese. They also have vegan gravy!

The food at is always delicious and always worth the wait… except when the wait is almost two hours after ordering 👎

I was disappointed with their service, as we sat at 7:15pm and didn’t get our food until almost 9pm, and only after inquiring about our meal were the dishes brought out. So as someone who gets hangry, that sucked.

But when the food did come, it was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the peas and labneh salad, as well as the muhammara broccolini (pictured above.)

So, overall service was about 2/10 but their food was a solid 9/10. I’ll just ensure to go again when I’m not hungry.

When in Italy, eat pasta (or in this case, gnocchi).
When in Tuscany, pair it with a Chianti 🍷

There are actually lots of date-y things to do at the top of - skating, skiing, snowshoeing, a walk in the snow, some reindeer… perfect for a family day or for a fun time with your significant other!
