The Juke Joint Soul Kitchen

Good Afternoon, I am the owner of Blues and Brews., Formally Quitters and Equator. 1523 Stittsville Main St. I was also the former owner of the Juke Joint in Carp.
I am writing to the community with zero ego to ask for you all to spread the word, that it’s been a difficult go. We have had some major hiccups along the way, including the 20k espresso machine dying, the construction next door, power outages, the weather, people using the private lot for parking, most of the equipment that was purchased, has stopped working. We wouldreally like to succeed in a spot that hasn’t thus far. We are hoping to get some people out for the food, the amazing live music, the beer, wine and cocktails, so that we may be able to get all of us out on that gorgeous patio soon. We also would like the opportunity to express that we always had a vision of it being a live music/restaurant venue. The coffee became a bit of a staple, as it had been 14 years as a coffee shop previously. We have pivoted to a small amout of coffee selections since we no longer have the ability to have as many selections, to focus on the food and atmloaphere. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have some solid service and chefs who work extremely hard, and are as passionate as I am about giving the community a fun space to visit. We would love to get the word out that it’s been a tough season and would like to rally for community support during the end of this winter season. I speak for myself, however? I know that it’s been the same for all of the businesses locally. Thank you for taking the time to read this and to pass it along!t

New floors! We have been working to update the space. We have some new seating and new flooring. We have solved the air intake issues and are excited to start live music and events. We would like to thank all of you for taking the time to try us out and for the amazing reviews. It takes a village. It comes on a really emotional day for me; it was exactly 7 years ago today that The Juke Joint Soul Kitchen opened. Let's bring this little gem of a space in Stittsville back to life together!

I was once told by someone very close to me that my dreams were worthless, and I allowed that belief to cloud my mind. It took a dark and deep inner struggle to confront the imposter syndrome that held me back, but I eventually discovered my true worth. I realized that dreams are powerful—they have the potential to change the world, and all of us do.

I am extremely grateful for those who have joined me on this journey: tasting the food, listening to the crazy ideas, holding my hand, and comforting me when I felt raw and broken. You know who you are, and I want you to know that I am here to do the same for you.
