MEET THE TEAM: Abby Newcombe (AVC Class of 2027) was born and raised on Prince Edward Island. After working as a registered veterinary technician for the past six years, she found herself drawn to small animal medicine and is particularly interested in continuing her DVM career in general practice and emergency medicine. She has a crazy orange cat named Sir, and in her spare time enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring different places on the island. Abby is very grateful to be a part of the Chinook team this year and looks forward to being in Port Hope Simpson this June!

Emily Shen (AVC class of 2027) was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Growing up, she always had such a love for animals and is so grateful to have the privilege to pursue her passion in the veterinary field. Emily's main interests are in small animal emergency, but she is also enamored by horses! Emily has one dog and three cats (for now), and during her free time, she loves to spend as much of it outside with her fiancé and her animals, exploring this beautiful island. She is so excited and honored to join the Chinook team this year!
