Fishing with Rod

For our recent Cariboo kokanee trip, we used Shimano Talora kokanee trolling rods. These rods are incredibly soft, designed to reduce your chance of losing those ballistic kokanee while you attempt to net them near the boat. We paired these rods with the Tekota counter reels, so we knew exactly how much line we were letting out beind the boat. Instead of downriggers, we used leadcore lines which kept our presentations around 10 to 20 feet below the surface. The rods are secured in Scotty R5 rod holders, for those quick pick-ups when the rods buckled down.
