Josh & Vic are having an intimate wedding in 2025 but still wanted some mountain wedding photos so we headed out to a backcountry hut this summer to get some. We all spent 3 days there together, soaking in the solitude, playing cards, exploring, eating, and doing both sunset and sunrise photos up on the mountain behind the hut. It was perfect.
This is just a small peek into our time out there and honestly, I just love the relaxed vibes of having days out there to create and have fun. 10/10 recommend.
And remember, you can do whatever you want to for your day.. if you are having a wedding with friends and family and you still want a “just us” experience, YOU CAN. Take that time and be intentional and have the best of both worlds. We can do whatever you want, don’t limit yourself to just one day or just one wedding experience.
And if you want to chat about a hut elopement in 2025, DM me and we can get started planning. My 2025 is booking up but I still have time for some fun adventurous elopements so get in touch! I can’t wait to help you have your dream elopement 🤍

She wanted snow and did it ever snow 😍😍
This was day 1 with these two. Private vows and just them adventure before celebrating with friends and family on day 2. I love it when couples break up their days like this so that can really have that intentional time together and then the next day, be all in celebrating with loved ones.

Team sunrise, always and forever. What a perfect way to start an incredibly special day.

My castle obsession has increased dramatically since our trip to Germany and now I’m dying to go back and shoot more at the .
These two booked a night there last March for a little getaway to celebrate 10 years together and 5 married. They wanted a redo of their wedding photos in a dress she loved this time and this was the result 😍
So if anyone wants some castle-y photos here in Banff.. let’s do it 🙌🏻

Who else is excited for the lakes to thaw and to get back out there?
This Jasper National Park will always hold a special place in my heart. These two were the cutest and succchhh troopers on a 38C day 🥵
On another note, Parks Canada announced a few days ago that water bodies in Yoho and Kootenay National Park will be closed for watercraft and angling until March 2025 to reduce the further spread of whirling disease. This means no canoes or other recreational watercrafts on Emerald Lake this summer. So heads up if you had planned on that.
Stricter measures are also in place at Waterton Lakes National Park now. You can’t bring any non-motorized watercraft from outside the park onto the water bodies in the park (so canoes, SUPs, etc).
We all have to do our part to protect the parks so before you bring your equipment into the parks that still allow it, make sure you follow all the water activity rules and regulations. These can be found online.
I can’t wait to (safely) get out on the lakes in canoes with some of my couples this year 😍
