Trail Report!
UROC Trail Report Friday June 19th:
Heading into the last weekend of Spring and we have more great news for anyone heading out to ride this weekend. UROC is opening another new trail at Pass Powderkeg! Sasquatch Trail Works with the help of Scott Thornhill’s amazing machine work has made an amazing new blue trail on the east side of PPK. You may have seen this trail being built as you climb up Jiffy Pop, or where it crosses ASG.
There are a couple ways to access this new trail. You can exit Electric Monkey by the berm before where the ‘Trail Narrows’ sign is. Or you can take a right at the intersection on Chainsaw Massacre just above the cliff. You can also access the trail part way down from where it crosses the Dale Stranquist trail, or where is Crosses ASG. Lots of options. When riding any new trail we suggest an inspection run first. This is a blue trail that mixes some technical elements with optional wood features and flow. Currently the trail ends at the intersection of Knotty Flow, but will continue down to Double Dirt by mid next week when the boardwalk work is finished.
In other new trail news, the blue trail that was opened last week (Hard Candy) is now on Trailforks. There is also a very technical rock line to the left of it (Rock Candy) that has some very committing moves, and eventually joins back up with the main trail. Hard Candy is open all the way down now, as the last wet section on the lower part has dried up.
The lower section of Blairmore Witch is getting very close, but not quite ready. Please obey all Trail Closed signs as there may be unfinished features, equipment, or people on trail working. New trails will be open as soon as they are ready.
Next weekend in June 28th will be our annual Poker Ride. We will have details early next week. With lots of new trails, there will be some great new options for that event.
Our trail crew have been busy all week brushing trails, adjusting railing on Buck50, and clearing the lower part of NRA. All the small details that make a big impact.
Looks like it is going to be a great weekend of riding.
Happy Trails!

Trail report!
UROC Trail Report May 29th:
It has been very hit or miss with the weather out here these last couple weeks, and even if the forecast is only partially right for the next couple days, we are expecting some pretty serious rain for Saturday and Sunday.
The nice thing about the moisture we have been getting is that it has been absolutely ideal for our two trail building crews and they have been carving som beautiful dirt ribbons into the PPK hillside. There has been a lot of positive feedback on Blairmore Witch Project, and we have been able to lay eyes on the other trails and we think you will be very happy when they are ready to be opened.
Our UROC trail crew has almost made it through all of their spring maintenance. This week they were mostly on York Creek clearing the Connector, York with a Fork, Sweet Duanage, and cleaning up the skills park at PPK. In the near future they will start work on repairs for any wood bridges that need some love, or trail sections that need a rework. We are so fortunate to have our own crew to keep on top of the maintenance.
Bee’s Knees Enduro 2026 registration opens on June 1st at 8:00am. We are looking forward to getting this event going for the 4th year! It usually sells out quickly, so don’t delay.
This weekend Sinister 7 is hosting their Vertical Vendetta race at PPK on Saturday. Their running course is going to be heading straight up the T-Bar line on both the upper and lower sections of the mountain. The only section of mountain bike trail they will be using is the one small section of Spare Change that extends from the Bully Road and heads across the Chinook ski run. Just be cautious when crossing the lift line on Spare Change or when riding the last section of Buck50 along the bottom of the ski hill.
Spring weather in Crowsnest is super unpredictable, but the riding today (Friday) should be really good. No guarantee for the rest of the weekend.
Happy Trails!
