We are looking forward to providing some recordings to assist you to start (or enhance) your practice of self-hypnosis. Practicing self-hypnosis is a great way to increase your ability to facilitate change in your life.
All Integral Hypnotherapy practitioners train co-therapists in the art of self-hypnosis (self-induced hypnotic trance). The following are four qualities of self-hypnosis:
1. Motivation: emotionalized desire to enter trance and facilitate change
2. Relaxation: must be thorough and without distractions - all distracting sounds are used as triggers to deepen trance
3. Concentration: complete mind focus on your purpose
4. Direction: concentrated visualization of the desired result
You may want to integrate a trigger (self-determined and self-enacted) to aid you to go into trance rapidly. It is also common to use a phrase or phrases (auto-suggestions) while in trance to facilitate change.
Send us a message or comment below to let us know what you would like to hear in these recordings..... we will get to work on some recordings soon and these will be posted on our website (hummingbirdintegralhypnotherapy.ca). We are also considering a Youtube channel.... let us know what you think.
What is it About the Hummingbird That Lends Itself to the Practice of Hypnotherapy?
We are cautioned to view life with the mind of an adult and the heart of a child by this little feathery sparkle.
The hummingbird represents an ancient symbol of joy and happiness. Its colorful appearance brings good luck and positive energy to our lives.
The hummingbird reminds us to enjoy life and simple pleasures and informs us that we should be looking at what is good in life. This tiny bird is associated with endurance and perseverance and reminds us to be adaptable and accept change.
The hummingbird is also linked to the idea of eternity and infinity. Its wings move in the pattern of a figure 8 which is the ancient symbol of continuity.
To our indigenous people, the hummingbird is a healer. A spirit sent by the Creator to help people.
In Asia, the hummingbird, though not native there, is associated with joy, freedom, and good luck. Hummingbird symbols hung in a nursery bring good luck and health to the infant.
Christians see the hummingbird as a messenger from the other side bringing good news from loved ones who have passed. Seeing one lets us know that our loved ones are happy and reminds us to be happy, too.
Celtic beliefs have the hummingbird delivering prophecies and guidance from the Devine. The hummingbird is an air element associated with wisdom and deep thinking.
The hummingbird reminds us that we find sweetness only within ourselves; that hanging on the past will not help.
The hummingbird is a symbol of bravery and endurance. Its hover reminds us to be patient and to trust our abilities and not give up when the going is tough. It also reminds us to open up our soul and let our loved ones see what we feel for them.
Hummingbirds are medicine for the soul. Use that medicine to heal your soul and find your right path. It will positively present the situation and will guide you towards resolution. When you are feeling tired and defeated, it will show you how to preserve your stamina. It will help you heal so that your body feels like home again.
Hummmmmm …. Sounds like hypnotherapy to me.
