Currently accepting bids for a long-term contact bus driver for friendly senior community. Wok hour range from 20-40 per week and are schedule one month in advance. Competitive wages offered.

Scope of Work

To adhere to all specifications and details of the Bus Policy and the Code of Conduct Policy.

To provide assistance to recreation staff as needed during outings. This includes supervision of residents, and other tasks as directed by recreation staff (not including personal care) to ensure residents are safe, engaged in activity and having a pleasurable experience.

To submit receipts for reimbursement for expenses related to recreation outings. Contractor will receive up to a maximum of $15 for recreation meal outings and cost of admissions.

To incur and maintain the costs of a cell phone for the purpose of communication with the facility/staff.

To maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the dress code of dress pants, button up collar shirt and name tag.

To ensure bus is up to date with all maintenance and repairs, book appointments at garage, pick up/drop off bus for appointments.

To arrive at outings departure location a minimum of 15 minutes prior to departure time.

To clean out the interior of the bus following every outing, wiping all touch points with antibacterial cleaner and wash the exterior of the bus according to seasonal cleaning schedule (cost of cleaning would be reimbursed with submitted receipt).

To take Resident Information binders from the bus at the end of every week to submit to Receptionist for updating, returning the binders to the bus every Monday.

In the event of inclement weather to contact Recreation Manager/General Manager to determine whether safe to do outing. If cancellation of outing occurs for any reason after driver is on the property, driver will be paid for a minimum of 1 hour.

Pre-Requisites

• Proof of annual criminal records check;
• Proof of G.S.T. Registrant Status;
• Proof of Sole Proprietorship or Incorporation;
• Proof of personal insurance up to $2,000,000;
• Proof of professional insurance up to $2,000,000;
• Proof of Class 4 Drivers Licence
• Workers’ Compensation Account Number (WSB in B.C.)
