βπ§οΈ Mother Nature Has Other Plans π§οΈβ
Well⦠we had the burgers.
We had the music.
We had the bottles.
We had the summer vibes.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature apparently didn't get the invitation. π
Due to the rainy weather heading our way this weekend, we have made the difficult decision to POSTPONE our School's Out BBQ & Bottle Drive.
As disappointed as we are, we want everyone to stay dry, safe, and actually enjoy the event when we gather together.
π£ A new date will be announced soon!
Please keep those bottles and cans tucked away for usβwe'll still happily take them once we reschedule or drop them off at the shelter if that works for you. The hamburgers, music, Gold Cards, and more will all be waiting for their big day.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the incredible people who have already stepped up to support this event:
π Anne McKinty for generously donating the food.
π Carmen's Bigway Foods for donating his parking lot and supplying all the food
π Boom Construction for donating the BBQ.
π Our wonderful volunteers and supporters who were ready to make this event a success.
While we're certainly not thrilled with Mother Nature's timing, we know a little rain won't dampen the amazing community support behind Tails to Tell.
Stay tuned for the new date announcement. We promise the burgers will still be hot, the music will still be playing, and the cats will still be counting on all of us. πΎπ
Until then, we're officially shaking our paws at the weather. βπ±

π A Very Special Thank You π
The cats and kittens of Tails to Tell would like to send a huge thank you to the students, staff, and families of Nose Creek Elementary School (Airdrie) for their incredible generosity.
Through their juice box recycling program, the school raised an amazing $1,700 for our shelter! πΎ
Pictured is student Olivia presenting the cheque to our founder, Edna Jackson. Olivia is also holding a photo of her beloved cat, Snowy, who was adopted from Tails to Tell several years ago. Seeing Snowy's story come full circle makes this gift even more meaningful. π
The hard work, dedication, and kindness shown by these students will help provide food, medical care, and second chances for the cats and kittens who rely on us every day.
Thank you, Nose Creek Elementary School, for proving that small acts can make a very big difference. Your compassion is helping save lives, and we are truly grateful. π±β¨
