🚨 TODAY’S THE DAY 🚨

The clippers are charged.
The coffee is brewing.
And three very brave women are about to become significantly more aerodynamic ✂️😂💛

Today from 12–2 PM, our incredible founder Edna — along with fearless volunteers Jana and Flo — will be shaving their heads to help the rescue cats and kittens of Tails to Tell 🐾

Honestly, the shelter cats are still deeply confused by the whole situation:
🐱 “Humans are removing their own fur on purpose?”
🐱 “This seems medically unnecessary.”
🐱 “Couldn’t they just donate treats instead?”

But in all seriousness, this amazing fundraiser will help provide food, medical care, shelter, and second chances for the cats and kittens who rely on us every single day 💛

✨ Yola from Hair Lounge in Airdrie will be taking on Jana’s gorgeous locks
✨ Karen from Clip & Curl in Crossfield will be buzzing Flo
✨ And Carmen from Sharp as Steele in Crossfield will once again help Edna go boldly bald

A HUGE thank you to these talented stylists for donating their time and kindness for such a meaningful cause 💛✂️

🎯 Our fundraising goal is $1,000

AND thanks to an incredibly generous anonymous donor, every dollar raised will be MATCHED up to $1,000 👀

That means your donation goes TWICE as far for the cats!

💌 Want to support Edna, Jana, or Flo?

(Be sure to include “Edna,” “Jana,” or “Flo” in the message!)

Come cheer them on, laugh with us, and witness the boldest haircut event of the year. It’s going to be fun, inspiring, emotional… and just a little breezy 😉💛

🚨 TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY 🚨

Tomorrow, three incredible women are saying goodbye to their hair — all to help the rescue cats and kittens of Tails to Tell 💛✂️🐾

Our amazing founder Edna is once again shaving her head for the cats… but this year, brave volunteers Jana and Flo are joining her for the ultimate show of love and support.

Honestly? We still can’t believe they agreed to this 😂💛

Quiet Soul Seeking Patient Human 🖤🐾

Hi… my name is Grixie.

I’m about a year old, a little shy, and still figuring out this whole “trusting humans” thing. You see, before I came to the shelter, I spent weeks outside during the cold winter, quietly surviving on my own. People only caught glimpses of me on security cameras before I was finally brought to safety in December.

Life taught me to be careful.

But underneath all that caution? There’s a very sweet boy who wants to trust. 💛

I’m not the kind of cat who will burst into your home demanding attention on day one. I’m more of a slow-burn kind of guy. The kind who watches quietly from across the room… then slowly inches closer… then one day surprises you by leaning into your hand for soft pets.

And honestly? Those little moments mean everything.

Here’s what I’m looking for:
🐾 A calm, quiet home
🐾 Someone patient and gentle
🐾 A human who understands that love takes time sometimes

What I offer in return:
🖤 Tiny victories that will absolutely melt your heart
🖤 Soft, gentle companionship
🖤 The chance to watch a shy cat slowly blossom into the cat he was always meant to be

I may not be the loudest or boldest cat at the shelter… but I promise, I’m trying.

And maybe, with the right person, I won’t have to be afraid anymore.

📞 Call 403.946.0400 to meet me and give me the chance I’ve been waiting for.

Love,
Grixie 🐾
